We have used Pallan Plumbing many times for sinks, water heaters, clogged drains and fixing sewer lines to septic as well. The pricing is great and the service is excellent. The repair areas are always left clean and organized. They are very trust worthy.
Great service and professionalism...would highly recommend!!!
Needed the anode rod replaced. Shon did the the job quickly and half the price of my other quotes
Highly recommend Shon at Pallan Plumbing! First off he is a small family local business from Camarillo, and you can tell he cares about serving his community. He responds to phone calls and texts quickly. He is not pushy and patiently explains what is going on. We had a water leak and didn’t know where it was coming from. Another plumber came, charged a lot for diagnostics, and was wrong. Shon is willing to get in there and do what needs to be done to actually locate the leak. He is very timely. He went above and beyond and gave us great recommendations that he noticed about our house plumbing. He seems very knowledgeable, friendly, fair pricing, professional, and just generally very helpful. He will be our go-to plumber going forward.
Shon was very responsive, did excellent work on several systems, and was very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Mike Mulhern
Shon Pallan is a great plumber and person. I definitely would recommend him. He's on-time, polite, and he responds quickly.
What happened to my 11am appointment today! No call, no show! Very disappointed, perhaps putting in a faucet was too small a job.
Shon is the absolute best. I had a sewer line issue and he came out the same day and had it fixed faster than I would have thought possible. Professional start to finish with great communication throughout the process!
My experience with Pallan Plumbing was great. Shon showed up on time. He explained what he would be doing, and he finished promptly. No mess, no fuss. He even returned to my house when I had some questions. Shon clearly values his customers. I recommend Pallan Plumbing highly for service, for reasonable pricing, and for positive attitude.
We had an emergency drain-line backup from our kitchen sink causing septic water to keep coming up and almost flooding everything. We called Pallan Plumbing in the morning and Shon made the time to come help us same day and even sooner than he had estimated. Shon resolved our issue and restored our kitchen sink back to itself - restoring our ability to function in our kitchen - in no time. Thank you Shon!
Shon is an expert in his field. He installed two faucets in record time and even fixed a previous plumber’s mistake — quickly and efficiently. Shon’s a pro! What a relief to have all our issues resolved quickly and well.
I accidentally dropped my necklace pendant down the sink, and Shon came the very same day to help! He was professional, kind, and efficient. I’m so grateful for his quick response and excellent service. Highly recommend!
Shon did a great job for us. He helped with a sewer line repair. Was on time and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend him. Dan OBrien
I am grateful we found Pallan Plumbing. Shon, the owner, is fast and efficient and his work is great! We had to repipe our whole house and the work was completed in a timely manner.
Shon was exceptional! He was kind and explained everything well. Highly recommend his plumbing company!
Shon has come to help twice with two different issues I have had with my gas lines for my fire pit. Shon is trustworthy. It took me a couple months to finally call a plumber for issue #1. When issue #2 came up (completely different item), I text him that day, and he was out 2 days later and fixed it, just nice to have someone you can trust. He just did some work at a friends house and they said the experience was the same.
Pallan Plumbing is absolutely the Best. Shon installed a new wall water softener and a tankless water heater last month. The cost was affordable and the installation smooth. Shon is friendly, clean and very detailed. I highly recommend Shon-Pallan Plumbing for any and all your plumbing needs.
The weekend before Thanksgiving my wife noticed the smell of gas coming from the cabinet next to the stove. We called the gas company who came out and confirmed that we had a leak. The gas company was unable to fix the leak and let us know we needed to have a plumber come out. In the meantime they would need to shut off the gas to the stove until it was fixed. A friend had recently used Pallan Plumbing and highly recommended that we give them a call. Shon from Pallan Plumbing replied promptly and was able to get out to our house on Tuesday. He showed up on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to resolve the leak with minimal disruption to the surrounding cabinetry. Pallan Plumbing saved our Thanksgiving, and for that I highly recommend them for any plubming needs!
Shon is absolute amazing. Was able to schedule me in the next day. He arrived on time and also was very informative with breaking down the situation. Would highly recommend him !
Shon was awesome- professional, right on time, and my bill seemed pretty reasonable. I definitely recommend his company.
Great customer services explained everything in detail and took great care of all plumbing needs. Also left no mess clean work

Our Water & Gas Leak Detection Process
Every water or gas leak requires a methodical and safety-first approach. At our plumbing company, we follow a proven, step-by-step process to accurately diagnose and resolve any leak.
Step 1: Initial Consultation & Safety Assessment
- We gather information from the property owner and conduct a full safety check. For gas leaks, this includes testing for hazardous levels and shutting off supply lines if needed.
Step 2: Precision Leak Detection
- Using professional-grade acoustic sensors, pressure testing, and gas sniffers, we locate the exact source of the leak, regardless of the location.
Step 4: Expert Repair or Replacement
- Our licensed plumbers perform the repair using code-compliant materials and methods.
Step 3: Detailed Diagnosis & Plan of Action
- Once the leak is located, we provide a clear explanation of the issue and offer a written repair plan, including timeframes, required parts, and cost breakdown.
Step 5: Final Testing & Verification
- After repairs, we run pressure tests and leak detection scans again to guarantee that the issue is fully resolved and that all systems are safe to operate.
Experiencing These Water & Gas Issues? Here’s What They Mean
Unexplained increase in water bills
Even a small, continuous leak can waste hundreds of gallons per month without visible signs.
Smell of sulfur or "rotten eggs"
This odor is caused by mercaptan, a chemical added to natural gas for safety. If you smell it, leave the property and contact emergency services or your gas utility.
Hissing sounds near gas appliances
The sound may be faint but should never be ignored, as it could indicate a dangerous leak. Shut off the gas supply and call a licensed professional immediately.
Water stains on ceilings or walls
These stains often appear yellowish or brown and may grow over time.
Mold growth or musty odor indoors
Mold can thrive in dark, damp environments behind walls, under floors, or inside cabinets.
Pilot light going out repeatedly
It may also signal a malfunctioning thermocouple or blocked vent, but gas line leaks are a common root cause.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell the difference between a water leak and condensation?
A water leak usually leaves consistent wet spots, stains, or dripping sounds, while condensation tends to appear temporarily on cool surfaces like pipes or windows. If moisture keeps returning in the same area or grows in volume, it’s likely a leak, not condensation.
Are gas leaks more common in older homes?
Yes, older homes are more prone to gas leaks due to aging piping systems, outdated materials, and wear around joints or connectors.
Can tree roots cause underground water leaks?
Yes, tree roots can invade or put pressure on underground water lines, causing cracks or blockages.
How do plumbers detect leaks without breaking walls or floors?
Professional plumbers use tools like acoustic sensors, thermal imaging, and gas sniffers to pinpoint leak locations.
Do gas leaks always produce an odor?
Most natural gas is odorized with a sulfur-like scent, but not all gas leaks smell strong. Small or slow leaks may go unnoticed without specialized detection tools.
Will homeowners insurance cover water or gas leak damage?
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the leak. Sudden, accidental leaks may be covered, but slow, unnoticed damage or lack of maintenance often isn’t.
