The weekend before Thanksgiving my wife noticed the smell of gas coming from the cabinet next to the stove. We called the gas company who came out and confirmed that we had a leak. The gas company was unable to fix the leak and let us know we needed to have a plumber come out. In the meantime they would need to shut off the gas to the stove until it was fixed. A friend had recently used Pallan Plumbing and highly recommended that we give them a call. Shon from Pallan Plumbing replied promptly and was able to get out to our house on Tuesday. He showed up on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to resolve the leak with minimal disruption to the surrounding cabinetry. Pallan Plumbing saved our Thanksgiving, and for that I highly recommend them for any plubming needs!

Shon has come to help twice with two different issues I have had with my gas lines for my fire pit. Shon is trustworthy. It took me a couple months to finally call a plumber for issue #1. When issue #2 came up (completely different item), I text him that day, and he was out 2 days later and fixed it, just nice to have someone you can trust. He just did some work at a friends house and they said the experience was the same.

Residential Slab Leak Repair
A residential slab leak repair service focuses on detecting and fixing water leaks that develop beneath the concrete foundation of homes. These leaks often result from aging pipes, shifting soil, or corrosion, leading to increased water bills, damp flooring, and even structural damage if left unaddressed. Early leak detection is of utmost importance. We use advanced techniques like electronic leak detection and trenchless pipe repair to minimize disruption to your home.

Commercial Slab Leak Repair
Commercial slab leak repairs address leaks in the foundations of businesses, office buildings, and industrial properties, where plumbing issues can disrupt daily operations and cause significant financial losses. Unlike residential leaks, commercial slab leaks often involve larger plumbing systems with higher water pressure, making detection and repair more complex. Signs of a slab leak in commercial buildings include unexplained water pooling, decreased water pressure, and unusual increases in utility bills. Hydrostatic pressure testing and trenchless pipe lining are our non-invasive solutions that minimize downtime.

Our Slab Leak Repair Process
At Pallan Plumbing, we follow a precise, industry-proven process to locate and repair slab leaks efficiently.
Leak Detection and Diagnosis
Before any repairs begin, we conduct a comprehensive slab leak inspection using advanced tools such as:
- Electronic Leak Detection – Pinpoints leaks using acoustic sensors and infrared imaging.
- Hydrostatic Pressure Testing – Identifies underground plumbing issues by measuring pressure fluctuations.
- Video Camera Inspection – Provides a real-time view of pipe conditions, confirming multiple leaks and potential damage.
Assessing Plumbing Repair Options
Once the plumbing leak is located, we evaluate the extent of the damage and determine the best repair method. This decision is based on factors such as pipe material, severity of the leak, and accessibility.
Restoring the Area
After repairs are completed, we restore the affected area, whether that involves repouring concrete, replacing flooring, or ensuring structural integrity is maintained. Our goal is to leave your property in excellent condition with a durable, leak-free plumbing system.
Repairing the Water Leak
Depending on the situation, we may use one of the following repair methods:
- Direct Access Repair – Breaking through the slab to access and replace the damaged pipe.
- Pipe Rerouting – Redirecting the water supply through new pipes to bypass the damaged section.
- Epoxy Pipe Coating – Sealing minor leaks internally with a protective epoxy lining, ideal for minimal disruption.
Experiencing These Slab Leak Issues? Here’s What They Mean
Slab leaks can manifest in different ways, and recognizing the warning signs early can save you from a big headache later.
Unexplained Increase in Water Bills
A hidden underground leak is continuously running water, leading to a noticeable rise in usage and utility costs.
Warm or Damp Spots on Flooring
Hot water line leaks often create warm areas on tile, carpet, or hardwood, while cold water leaks can cause damp patches or mold growth.
Cracks in Walls or Foundation
A prolonged slab leak can weaken the foundation, leading to structural cracks in walls, ceilings, and floors.
Low Water Pressure
A leak in the main water line can reduce overall pressure, affecting faucets, showers, and appliances.
Sounds of Running Water
If you hear water flowing under the floor when no fixtures are in use, it’s a strong indication of a hidden leak.
Common Slab Leak Problems We Fix
Pipe Corrosion and Deterioration
- Possible Causes: Older homes with copper or galvanized steel pipes are particularly prone to corrosion due to soil acidity, water quality, and long-term wear. Over time, pipes develop pinhole leaks, leading to water damage beneath the slab.
- Solution: We perform a thorough inspection to assess pipe condition, repairing minor leaks or recommending full pipe replacement for long-term durability.
High Water Pressure Damage
- Possible Causes: Excessively high water pressure places continuous stress on pipes, increasing the risk of joint failures and pipe bursts under the foundation.
- Solution: Our team regulates water pressure and repairs damaged pipes to prevent further stress on your plumbing system.
Shifting Soil and Foundation Movement
- Possible Causes: Expansive soil conditions and natural settling can misalign underground pipes, eventually leading to leaks.
- Solution: We provide expert pipe rerouting and stabilization solutions to reinforce the plumbing system and prevent future slab leaks.
Poor Installation or Inferior Pipe Materials
- Possible Causes: Improper plumbing installation or the use of substandard materials can cause premature pipe failure and water leaks.
- Solution: We inspect the system for defects, replacing faulty components with high-quality materials to ensure long-term reliability.
Tree Root Intrusion
- Possible Causes: Tree roots can invade underground pipes, causing blockages and structural damage in both residential and commercial properties.
- Solution: We use advanced camera inspections and trenchless repair techniques to remove root obstructions and restore proper water flow.

Slab Leak Repair Services
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to repair a weak leak?
The repair time depends on the severity and location of the leak, as well as slab leak repair options. Simple repairs like epoxy lining can take just a few hours, while more complex solutions like direct access repairs or rerouting pipes can take a couple of days. In any case, our professional slab leak detection methods help speed up the process because we can pinpoint leaks quickly.
Can a weak leak go away on its own?
A weak leak will not fix itself and will only worsen over time. Water will continue to erode the foundation, weaken flooring, and cause mold growth. Even small leaks can escalate into major plumbing failures. Professional repair is the only way to stop the damage and future leaks.
Is weak leak repair covered by homeowners insurance?
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the leak. If the weak leak is due to sudden and accidental damage, like a burst pipe, insurance may cover repairs. However, if the leak is due to gradual wear, corrosion, or neglect, it may not be covered. Always check with your insurance provider to understand your policy terms.
How does water pressure affect the likelihood of weak leaks?
High water pressure puts excessive strain on pipes, increasing the risk of small cracks and eventual leaks. Over time, the constant force weakens joints and connections, making weak leaks more likely. Installing a pressure regulator is a good way to maintain safe levels and extend the lifespan of your plumbing system.
