The weekend before Thanksgiving my wife noticed the smell of gas coming from the cabinet next to the stove. We called the gas company who came out and confirmed that we had a leak. The gas company was unable to fix the leak and let us know we needed to have a plumber come out. In the meantime they would need to shut off the gas to the stove until it was fixed. A friend had recently used Pallan Plumbing and highly recommended that we give them a call. Shon from Pallan Plumbing replied promptly and was able to get out to our house on Tuesday. He showed up on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to resolve the leak with minimal disruption to the surrounding cabinetry. Pallan Plumbing saved our Thanksgiving, and for that I highly recommend them for any plubming needs!

Shon has come to help twice with two different issues I have had with my gas lines for my fire pit. Shon is trustworthy. It took me a couple months to finally call a plumber for issue #1. When issue #2 came up (completely different item), I text him that day, and he was out 2 days later and fixed it, just nice to have someone you can trust. He just did some work at a friends house and they said the experience was the same.

Our Water System Installation Process
The whole process is carried out by skilled professionals with years of experience in plumbing and water treatment systems.
Initial Assessment
- We start by inspecting your existing toilet or plumbing setup to identify the issue or evaluate the space for a new installation.
Material & Fixture Selection
For new installations, we guide you in choosing a toilet that fits your needs and budget. For repairs, we make sure to use compatible, high-quality parts.
Removal & Preparation
- If a toilet needs to be replaced, we carefully remove the existing unit without damaging the surrounding flooring or pipes. For repairs, we prepare the area by shutting off water lines and securing nearby components.
Clean Up & Walkthrough
- We clean up the work area and walk you through the completed job. You'll get maintenance tips as well.
Testing & Final Inspection
- Once the work is completed, we test the toilet; checking water flow, flush strength, sealing, and drainage. We also perform a final inspection to make sure everything meets industry standards and your expectations.
Installation or Repair Work
- We install the new toilet with precision, ensuring a tight seal, level placement, and proper function of all components. For repairs, we address the specific issue.
Experiencing These Toilet Issues? Here’s What They Mean
Not sure why your toilet is acting up? These common issues often point to specific problems:
Toilet Constantly Running
This is usually caused by a worn-out flapper or faulty fill valve. When the flapper doesn’t close properly, water keeps flowing into the tank.
Water Leaking Around The Base
A cracked wax ring or loose bolts can cause this issue.
Weak Or Partial Flush
A clogged rim jet or insufficient tank water level often causes this. If the water level in the tank is too low or the jets are partially clogged, it prevents the toilet from flushing with full power.
Toilet Won't Flush At All
This could be due to a broken handle, chain, or flapper mechanism.
Frequent Clogs
A partial blockage in the drain line or improper flushing habits could be the culprit. Flushing items like wipes or excessive toilet paper can cause blockages, but a more serious obstruction in the drain requires professional attention.
Gurgling Sounds In Other Fixtures
This could be due to a broken handle, chain, or flapper mechanism.
Toilets Take Too Long To Fill
A faulty fill valve or low water pressure is typically responsible for this issue.
Cracks In The Toilet Bowl Or Tank
A cracked toilet, if not repaired or replaced, will eventually lead to significant water damage or even complete failure.
Common Toilet Problems We Fix
Whether your water softener, filtration system, or whole-house conditioner is underperforming, our expert technicians can diagnose and resolve the issue efficiently.
Toilet Leaking at the Base
- Possible Causes: Failed wax ring, loose floor bolts, or a cracked toilet base.
- Solution: We reseal the toilet with a new wax ring, tighten or replace bolts, and inspect for structural damage.
Constantly Running Toilet
- Possible Causes: Worn flapper, corroded flush valve seat, or misaligned float.
- Solution: We replace worn components and recalibrate the float and refill mechanism for proper shutoff.
Toilet Flushes Weakly
- Possible Causes: Blocked rim jets, low tank water level, or partial drain clog.
- Solution: We clean rim jets, adjust water levels, and snake the drain to restore full flushing power.
Toilet Won't Flush At All
- Possible Causes: Broken handle, chain, or disconnected flapper.
- We repair or replace flush mechanism parts and verify proper tank-to-bowl connection.
Frequent Clogging
- Possible Causes: Partial obstructions, low-flow toilet design, or improper items being flushed.
- Solution: We use augers or hydro-jetting to clear obstructions and advise on best flushing practices.
Cracks In Tank Or Bowl
- Possible Causes: Impact damage, age-related stress fractures, or manufacturer defect.
- Solution: We inspect for leaks and recommend complete replacement if structural integrity is compromised.
Noisy Refilling After Flush
- Possible Causes: Faulty fill valve or air in the water line.
- Solution: We replace the fill valve and bleed air from the system to reduce noise.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical toilet installation take from start to finish?
Most standard toilet installations take between 1 and 2 hours. That includes removing the old unit, prepping the area, and securely installing the new toilet. However, complex setups or repairs will certainly last longer than that.
Can I reuse my old toilet when remodeling my bathroom?
You can reuse it if it’s still in good condition and fits the new layout. Nevertheless, our advice is to upgrade during remodeling for better performance and appearance.
What's the difference between a one-piece and a two-piece toilet during installation?
One-piece toilets are heavier and trickier to maneuver but easier to clean. Two-piece models are lighter and more common, which usually makes installation a bit easier and more flexible.
Are pressure-assisted toilets harder to install or repair than gravity-fed models?
Pressure-assisted toilets are more complex and can be trickier to repair. Installation isn’t drastically different, but repairs often require specific parts.
Can a toilet be installed in a basement without existing plumbing lines?
Yes, but it requires additional work like installing an upflush system or a sewage ejector pump. It’s very doable with the right setup.
