The weekend before Thanksgiving my wife noticed the smell of gas coming from the cabinet next to the stove. We called the gas company who came out and confirmed that we had a leak. The gas company was unable to fix the leak and let us know we needed to have a plumber come out. In the meantime they would need to shut off the gas to the stove until it was fixed. A friend had recently used Pallan Plumbing and highly recommended that we give them a call. Shon from Pallan Plumbing replied promptly and was able to get out to our house on Tuesday. He showed up on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to resolve the leak with minimal disruption to the surrounding cabinetry. Pallan Plumbing saved our Thanksgiving, and for that I highly recommend them for any plubming needs!

Shon has come to help twice with two different issues I have had with my gas lines for my fire pit. Shon is trustworthy. It took me a couple months to finally call a plumber for issue #1. When issue #2 came up (completely different item), I text him that day, and he was out 2 days later and fixed it, just nice to have someone you can trust. He just did some work at a friends house and they said the experience was the same.

Residential House Repiping
Residential whole house repiping involves replacing all the old or damaged water pipes throughout your home with new piping materials. Over time, pipes corrode, leak, or become clogged, causing reduced water pressure, discolored water, or even water damage. A full home repipe is a long-term solution that improves efficiency and brings your plumbing system up to modern standards. Our residential repiping service is minimally disruptive, and we promise a clean, fast, and professional job from start to finish.

Residential Apartment Repiping
Residential apartment repiping is a comprehensive service that replaces the entire plumbing infrastructure within a commercial building of any type. These larger-scale projects require detailed planning, high-quality materials, and our skilled technicians to minimize downtime. Old or failing pipes in commercial properties can result in significant damage, water loss, and health risks, making timely repiping essential. We provide customized repiping options for the demands of your commercial plumbing systems, from high water usage to multi-story layouts.

Our House Repiping Process
Whole house repiping is a structured, step-by-step process that requires precision and expertise. That’s why we insist on clear communication with the property owner.
In-Depth Inspection and Evaluation
- We start with a thorough inspection of the property's existing plumbing system, identifying the type of piping in place, the extent of wear or damage, and the optimal repiping route.
Transparent Proposal and Material Selection
After the evaluation, we provide a detailed quote outlining the scope of work, timeline, and recommended piping materials (e.g., PEX, copper, or CPVC.)
On-Site Preparation and Protection
- Before any cutting or pipe removal begins, we cover floors and furnishings to protect your property. Then, we shut off the water.
Permit Acquisition and Scheduling
- Once the proposal is approved, we handle all necessary permit applications and work with you to schedule the repipe.
Inspections
- Final inspections (if required by local code) are arranged to complete the job.
System Testing and Final Walkthrough
- After the full system is installed, we perform a pressure and flow test to check whether everything is functioning correctly. A walkthrough is done with the client to review the work and answer any final questions.
Pipe Replacement and System Installation
- Old piping is removed systematically, and new lines are installed following current plumbing codes. We test all new connections for pressure, flow rate, and leaks before proceeding.
Experiencing These Pipe Issues? Here’s What They Mean
Not every plumbing issue calls for a full repipe, but recurring or widespread problems are usually a strong indication that it’s time.
Low water pressure throughout the home or building
This often means there’s internal buildup, and corrosion. When pressure drops everywhere, it’s rarely a fixture issue — it’s usually aging or failing piping.
Rust-colored or discolored water coming from faucets
Brown, yellow, or orange tint in the water is a classic sign of corrosion inside galvanized or iron pipes.
Frequent leaks in different areas of the property
Multiple leaks in unrelated zones suggest the piping system as a whole is deteriorating.
Water with a metallic or foul taste and odor
Strange-tasting water can result from rust, bacteria buildup, or chemical leaching from outdated pipes.
Visible signs of corrosion or flaking on exposed pipes
Corrosion on the outside usually means it’s happening on the inside too.
Pipe noises like banging or whistling behind the walls
These sounds often mean your pipes are under stress due to loose fittings or pressure imbalances caused by failing sections.
Mold or water damage near pipe locations
Moisture stains, and mildew smells can point to slow leaks hidden behind walls or under floors.
Constant need for plumbing repairs in multiple zones
If your plumber is becoming a regular visitor, you’re probably treating symptoms of a larger problem.
Common Drain Problems We Fix
Frequent Pinhole Leaks
- Possible Causes: Corrosion from acidic water or aging copper/galvanized steel pipes.
- Solution: Replace outdated lines with corrosion-resistant materials like PEX or Type L copper.
Poor Water Pressure Throughout Property
- Possible Causes: Internal buildup of rust, minerals, or scale inside old galvanized pipes.
- Solution: Full system repipe to restore flow and pressure using properly sized new lines.
Brown Or Rusty Water
- Possible Causes: Oxidation of iron pipes or corroded fittings leaching into water supply.
- Solution: Remove old iron-based lines and replace with modern plumbing materials.
Multiple Leaks In Different Locations
- Possible Causes: Systemic pipe failure due to age, poor installation, or material fatigue.
- Solution: Complete repiping to eliminate problem sections and prevent future leaks.
Mold Or Water Damage In Walls Or Ceilings
- Possible Causes: Hidden leaks from deteriorating or burst pipes behind finishes.
- Solution: Locate and replace affected piping.
Noisy Or Vibrating Pipes (Water Hammer)
- Possible Causes: Poor pipe support, sudden valve closures, or air pockets in old systems.
- Solution: Install updated piping with proper anchoring and water hammer arrestors if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the average lifespan of different types of home plumbing pipes?
Copper pipes usually last 50+ years, PEX around 40 years, and galvanized steel 40–60 years (although corrosion often shortens that). Polybutylene and older plastics may only last 20 years or less. Lifespan also depends on water quality and installation quality.
Can I repipe just part of my house or does it have to be the entire system?
You can repipe in sections, but it’s usually more cost-effective and reliable to do the whole system if issues are widespread. Partial repipes can leave you with mixed materials and uneven performance. A full repipe eliminates future problems.
Will I have to leave my home during the repiping process?
In most cases, you can stay in your home during the project. We coordinate work to limit water shut-offs to just a few hours at a time. You’ll be informed in advance so there are no surprises.
Is the whole house repiping covered by homeowner's insurance?
Most policies do not cover repiping as preventive maintenance. However, they might cover damage caused by a sudden pipe failure or burst. It’s best to check your individual policy and speak with your insurance agent.
